Greta Thunberg a Swede began her environmental activism at the age of 15 in a very modest way, by getting her parents to adopt practices to lower their carbon footprint. She then began skipping school in protest to their environmental policies. She kept adding to her protests, going higher and higher. She started getting invited to Climate Summits and gained a reputation as an effective speaker. She spoke before the US Congress in 2019. Greta continues to be a popular advocate for the environment and climate.
